Today we are featuring amazing Eleanor Lindsay-Fynn. She is a amazing photographer from London who I once met on the Foto Stop festival in Leipzig.
Check out her work and the interisting new technique she created.

artition member interview

artition:
How would you describe your work/art/style?

EF:The words aren’t yet there to fully describe the technique.I have recently been
experimenting with digital technology to produce a photographic
cartoon hybrid which documents the world as I see it.

artition:
What or who inspires you?

EF: People, just people in general.People in galleries, I particularly like people in galleries.

artition:
Is there a message you want to communicate with your art?

EF:Yes - there is no magic answer.People are always asking for a ‘message’ I
actually find that very frustrating. I mean what do people expect
when they ask for a message, art in-itself can’t answer questions it
can only ask them.

artition
Why did you join artition?

EF: I like joining things.

artition:
Who would you like to change life with for one day?

EF:My cleaner.

artition:
Who is your favourite artist?

EF: Max Beckmann.

Today we are featuring achondo_m from Latin America who recently joined us.
We think that his works are amazing. Though they are so easy they are just fascinating.

artition member interview

artition:
How would you describe your work/art/style?

AM: My work basically is about an oil paint that combines colour and texture to send out a message that communicates my experiences with universal subject matters. The Observer should feel identified with my works. I use a figurative style, believing that it allows me to express a form, which is wide and recognisable. The most important however is the message in them.

artition:
What or who inspires you?

AM: I am inspired by life, though it sounds like a cliche ,life gives me experiences, may they be bad or good, which I want to share with everyone, so I draw about the life by which I am inspired.

artition:
Is there a message you want to communicate with your art?

AM: There always exists a message , but the message is different everytime according to the moment of my life and my experience.

artition:
How do you like artition and what would you like to be added or changed?

AM: I would not change anything on artition but I would like it to be translated into Spanish.

artition:
Why did you join artition?

AM: Because it is interesting for me that other artists see my works and tell me what they think about them.

artition:
Who would you like to change life with for one day?

AM: I would never change my life with anyone..

artition:
Who is your favourite artist?

AM: I like the classic painters, also some of the impressionists like Van Gogh . Modern, I like very much Lucien Freud or Alex Kanevsky. Francis Bacon is a teacher and to change a bit of style I like a lot Antoni Tapies or Giacometi.

Today after some time we are back with a new member interview with an outstanding talent.
I love the atmosphere marcoi is setting up in his pictures. Take a look at my favourites:

artition member interview

artition:
How would you describe your work/art/style?

M: Ah! I suppose if I had words for it I wouldn’t take photos. On occasion I just happen to see images that seem to ask to be celebrated, and I try to do so. In hindsight, I can observe that some notion of a style emerges, but it is not deliberate and in fact I am the first one to be surprised about it.

artition:
M: What or who inspires you?

First of all, an old friend who is the one who introduced me to photography. I don’t even know whether she knows that I like taking photos, but it did all start with her. Then a variety of visual artists, almost only painters. Most of the great ones. And of course the millions of images that I would like to capture but that unfailingly elude me.

artition:
Is there a message you want to communicate with your art?

M: I never thought about that. I’d say definitely not. I agree with those who say that creative endeavours are not supposed to convey messages, but just to be, and to express their urgency, their necessity of being. If that makes any sense.

artition:
How do you like artition and what would you like to be added or changed?

M: I think it is a very neat idea, and I wish it all the best. Personally what I like the most is the opportunity to get feedback, and if there were any way to incentivise users to rate, and perhaps also comment, more, that would be grand. Once it gets to a critical mass, I am sure there will be several ways to harness its users’ skills and knowledge. Art-oriented discussions, for instance, may be interesting. One challenge will be to ensure the level of the work on display (which regrettably was dragged down a notch as I joined…).

artition:
Why did you join artition?

M: As I was mentioning above, to get feedback, and to see if I’d find interesting, inspiring work.

artition:
Who would you like to change life with for one day?

M: Nobody, really. But if I can concoct my own scenario, I’d probably be a globally relevant decision-maker on the day of a crucial decision, so that finally things would go my way. It would be best for everybody, I reckon.

artition:
Who is your favourite artist?

M: That old chestnut. Sticking to painting, I’ll just make a random, unsatisfactory list: Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Tintoretto, Rothko, Kiefer, Hopper, Durer, Vermeer, Bosch, and I could go on and on and on but I’ll stop here.

artition:
Is there any artwork or artist on artition you would like to feature?

M: I looked back and noticed I have ‘favourited’ two items: ‘The Merry Moon Goddess’ of Shunyata, the sort of work I would never be able to produce or even conceive but that fascinates me; and ‘Orange Chocolate’ by subjectiveart: that one is much more in line with the way I see things.
